Marcel Iures is one of Romania’s most acclaimed stage and screen actors, having starred in more than two dozen features in his native country and twice being named its best actor. His international film credits include:

Mihaela Sirbu as Tanya
Mihaela Sirbu is an actress and director. She graduated at the University of Bucharest, German Philology and at the University of Drama and Cinematography, Bucharest, BA in Theatrical Arts, speciality Acting. She also received recently a PhD in Theatre Studies.

She worked as an actress at the Jewish Theater and as an independent actress in Romania, Switzerland and Germany; she also works as a teacher at the Drama Department of the National University for Theater and Film and taught in Germany, at the Athanor Akademie. 1996 she founded the independent theatre group Teatrul fara Frontiere for which she acts as a manager and director.

She received two Goethe Institut scholarships to study at and attend the famous “Berliner Theatertreffen” and has taken numerous workshops for acting and theater management. Currently she is getting certified by Larry Silverberg, from Eckerd College, Florida, to teach the Meisner Technique.

Mihaela Sirbu is teaching workshops in Improvisation for children and business people and is organizing every year a summer school for professional actors. She is also a translator of German and American plays.
Mihai Constantin as Mayor Codrescu
Mihai Constantin is considered to be one of the most important Romanian actors, his career including dozens of parts in theatre plays, films, TV shows and radio theatre. He graduated from the Theater and Film Institute in 1989. Since 1990, he has been an actor at Bulandra Theatre. Mihai Constantin can be currently seen in the following plays: Oblomov by I. A. Goncearov and Elizaveta Bam by Daniil Harms at L.S. Bulandra Theatre and in Hymnus by Gyorgy Schwajda at Metropolis Theatre.

Valer Dellakeza as Sami
Valer Dellakeza graduated from the "I.L.Caragiale" Theater and Film Institute in 1968. He was hired, by governmental assessment, at Craiova National Theatre, where he became nationally and internationally famous, through the 112 successful tours, performed on all continents. Dellakeza’s career of 40 years includes over 100 parts, for which he has received some of the most prestigious awards, including the UNITER Award.

Director/Writer - Lucian Georgescu
Lucian Georgescu belongs to the first Romanian post revolutionary filmmakers generation. Film and TV screenwriter, actor, producer, film critic, (UCIN, FIPRESCI), Senior Lecturer in Film and Media at the Romanian Theatre and Film University in Bucharest.

Barry Gifford

Barry Gifford’s novels have been translated into twenty-eight languages. His book Night People was awarded the Premio Brancati in Italy, and he has been the recipient of awards from PEN, the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Library Association, the Writers Guild of America, and the Christopher Isherwood Foundation.

David Lynch’s film Wild at Heart, which was based on Gifford’s novel, won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1990, and his novel Perdita Durango was made into a feature film by Spanish director Alex de la Iglesia in 1997. Barry Gifford co-wrote with director David Lynch the film Lost Highway(1997); he also co-wrote with director Matt Dillon the film City of Ghosts(2003), as well as the libretto for Ichiro Nodaira’s opera, Madrugada(2005).

Mr. Gifford’s books include The Phantom Father, named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year; Wyoming, named a Los Angeles Times Novel of the Year, and which has been adapted for the stage and film; The Sinaloa Story; The Rooster Trapped in the Reptile Room: A Barry Gifford Reader; Do the Blind Dream?; and The Stars Above Veracruz.

His most recent books are the novels The Imagination of the Heart and Memories from a Sinking Ship. Mr. Gifford’s writings have appeared in Punch, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Sport, the New York Times, El Pais, El Universal, La Repubblica, The New Yorker, Brick, Projections, La Nouvelle Revue Française and many other publications. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Music - Johannes Malfatti

Johannes Malfatti is a Berlin-based composer and sound designer. He has studied at the Film- and Television school „Konrad Wolf“ in Potsdam, Babelsberg. His work includes composing for film, dance and pop music as well as sound design.

His musical style ranges from experimental electronic music to orchestral arrangments. Films and albums he has worked on have won international awards and nominations at festivals such as Sundance Film Festival, Prix Ars Electronica or the german Grimme Award.
