The Phantom Father was selected in the 30th edition of the Uruguay International Film Festival, organized by the Montevideo Cinematheque between March 29th and April 8th 2012.

This year's edition of the Uruguay International Film Festival is a wholly special edition because 2012 is the year in which the festival celebrates 30 years of existence and, more importantly, the well-known Cinematheque of Montevideo enters its 60th year of activity.

By participating in the festival, The Phantom Father also celebrates a remarkable milestone. The absolute South American premiere in Montevideo marks the film's presence on the fourth continent so far. During its journey, the film has been projected in renowned festivals in North America, Europe, Africa and Australia, always being extraordinarily well received by the public.

The Phantom Father is worldwide represented by Beverly Hills-based agent House of Film. The movie had the Romanian premiere on March 2nd.
